We went to see Chicago tonight! After a little confusion about the location of the theatre (tonight happened to be the first night in the new theatre) we got to the venue just on time!
Fantastic! Really enjoyed it! One of my favourite musicals… and the guys were &%$£ing gorgeous!!!! I think it’s one I’d recommend you go even if you don’t like theatre… because the eye-candy would suit anyones taste!
GO SEE IT!
Ooooh…. we also went to Ristorante’ Aurora and I had my usual Fusilli Al Tonno (pasta twists with tuna and olives for you plebs).

I’m still Spanish mad… go figure!
I went to a MEETUP.COM meeting last night for the first time. Went to the ‘London New Friends, Fun and Food’ group and met some lovely people, Really great! I would recommend MEETUP.com to anyone.
Came home via Soho today and bought a brush and four 12×10 canvas’s, going to do them in the same style as my impressive image… but all in the same coulrs. Should look funky…. i think.
Toodles… oh, and check out the gallery, add some things to it.

Lesley (my sister) came down to London for the weekend!
What a fab weekend, we had dinner in Islington (Gufaa - Friday) and then started Saturday off at the market down at London Bridge. Chocolate Brownies chased down with cappuccino, lunch next to the Clink and a browse at the booksellers market under the bridge at Embankment.
We went to the Lorenz Auditorium on Saturday night to watch BREAKFAST WITH MUGABE which was very good, and then to Imperial China for dinner and wine with nice conversation.
There was a little worry when we returned home as the electricity was out in the entire area. When we woke up on Sunday there was still no electricity so we had to think about cold showers. I decided to only wash my hair… Bryan and I were going to help one-another. You know that feeling that you get when you eat ice-cream too quickly… I had that through my entire head… NEVER AGAIN!!! You wanna know the real bitch… as soon as I had done my hair, the friggen power came on!
Sunday we went shopping around town. Had a lovely day and Lesley managed to get a scarf she’d been eyeing up for a while.
So, all in all… a really lovely weekend!

Hello all,
After much fighting, spitting and screaming at various bits of software, I finally managed to get the frigging Gallery to work with my blogging software. So… now you can click on the link above and you’ll be shown my Gallery!
At the moment, I have Barcelona pictures up… so you can bore yourself silly by having a look at them.
Captions being added as I go along, as well as other pictures.

You may have noticed the infrequent postings lately… this is mainly due to my vision for what I want this site to contain. I’m in the process of fighting with Gallery2, so I can show pictures and things INSIDE my blog as the built in version of image display… well… lets be honest it sucks.
I’m also converting the whole thing into a mini-cms… avoiding the whole full-out Joomla install to make things easy and simple.
I promise that once I’ve got this &^%$£*£ gallery problem sorted out, I’ll get Barcelona up onto the blog (WITH PICS!!!) and a few other changes in life.
HAPPY EASTER!

Yes, I suck!
As I didn’t blog while I was out there, I forgot what I got up to on each day. The best thing you could do would be to go to the gallery and check out the pics from the holiday! Much better idea!
Sorry!

Started the day off by checking out the Arc De Triomf. Very kewl arch… very impressive!
Walked down the square and watched the old Spaniards playing ‘bools’ next to the Government Buildings. Very traditional… you could tell!
Then it was off to the Zoo. After all… the two London Twomples can’t go to another city without checking out the local Zoo :).
They had loads of animals that I have’t seen before… a few of the regulars. You can tell that they’re working on the place quite a bit as you can see a definite differance between ‘old’ zoo and ‘new’ zoo. The new zoo has wonderful enclosures (Sea Lions, Dolphin house, Monkeys and Pygmy Hippos), but the old zoo leaves a lot to be desired. The Elephants could have much more space… and there are far too many lions in the lion enclosure. No zoo is perfect… but this one is reasonably good.
We watched the Dolphin show, presented by the gorgeous Marco (GRRRRrrrrrrrrrr). We didn’t get to see Snowflake the famous Albino Gorilla as he passed away about two years ago. I’ve heard about him before, so it would have been nice… but pictures will do!
We then took a stroll down to the Marina… where the ‘local’ Nigerians and other Africans sell their illegal wares. Watching them run from peir to peir as the police chase them around is good fun!
We found a lovely boat next to the Marina which looked out over the boats in the harbour. We watched people look after their floating homes (and palaces!!!) while dogs and cats hopped bravely from gangplank to deck. Sipping Cava from the upper decks of our floating perch, while fish swam around us, we watched the sun set on our first Barcelonian day.
After two hours on the boat we took a trundle back to the hotel… and got ready for dinner at 22:30 (Spaniards eat late!). What a wonderful meal. This is what we had:
Graeme:
Starter —– Canelloni, wonderful cheesey sauce.
Main —– Salmon with deep fried red-cabbae, string beans and mashed potato tower.
Desert —– White, Milk and Dark chocolate mousse tower (simply stunning!!!)
Bryan:
Starter —– Tomato and Mozzarella towers with a vinagarette dressing.
Main —– Slices of duck with a dark jus. Mashed potato tower.
Desert —– White, Milk and Dark chocolate mousse tower (simply stunning!!!)
If my memory serves my right, we finished up here and wondered up a still busy Ramblas to the Metro CATALUNYA and back up to the Hotel for the evening.

Luckily the flight is quite a late flight, after midday, so we managed to get to the airport without having to get out of bed at some ungodly hour! The trip on EasyBus was fab, kind of. A bit bumpy, but got us to Luton in good time.
So, once we got through to Luton, it was really a case of waiting for the plane. It was quite full of kids… probably something to do with Easter holidays.
Flight was about 2 hours, and then we got to Reus. The fun began!!!
To all people who are thinking about going to Reus as a stop for Barcelona… I would recommend against it. Not because it takes about 2 hours to get to the City Centre… but because the airport is a small hole in the middle of bog-all.
Take the bus from the car-park outside (€18 return), takes you to SANTS Metro Station.
The map that I used when trying to find the hotel… was maybe a bit short-sighted. I should have looked at another one as it would have shown me that the Hotel was right next to CLOT station… and not a camel-hike from GLORIES!!!
It would have save me a small argument on arrival… and a mini heart-attack when I saw the local area. Scary!
So… we settled in, and then went for a quick walk to The Ramblas. We made a reservation for The Attick (restaurant) for tomorrow night, and then sat on The Ramblas eating Tapas and drinking Sangria! Bryan had never drank Sangria… so was an experience for him.
We then took a stroll back up the Ramblas and back to the hotel on the Metro.
All in all, a very fab day to start the holiday!
