February 23, 2006I have been screaming at Outlook express for the past two weeks for timing out eveytime I try send an email I’ve even
raised the issue with Dreamhost who said it was possibly my firewall.

Then finally, after spending hell knows how long trying to find an answer to my email woes… I discover that AOL, being the dicks that they are, have blocked the sending of email through port 25!!!
Not all the time though… intermittently! WTF!?!?!
“Change the port to 587 to use third party email programs”
