Dark Ivy
February 21, 2006The ivy that hung around the carport and garage was thick and full of history. The dark green and brown colours spanned the entire length of the building and small wisps of branch were making their way onto the roof of the building itself. Many would have said that the carport itself was the place that was mysterious and full of strange happenings but it was in fact the long, dark outbuilding that grew under the walnut tree which held the darkest and scariest stories!
The door to the building was only five feet away from the carports rear wall. Only 5 feet high, many visitors had to bend down to enter the dank and musky room. There were two steps down into the room which gave the entrant enough room to stand up without having to slouch. There were no windows, so the only light that came into the building was through the open doorway, and through the small gaps that were between the roof and the walls themselves. This building was definitely not regulation, which meant it was not on any planning authority books.
