Day 2 - Cruddy weater and Irish Ladies!
August 17, 2006Woke up late again this morning - not that I’m moaning, and went over for something to eat at a small restaurant down at the marina. Felt a bit guilty as it was an English Breakfast!
Wandered up to the local church which sits high up on a hill above Saint Eulalia. It was lovely, and the views were great. It was a very solemn place, filled with gravestones and interred remains. Very deep in history and you gain a lot of respect for the local culture.
After that, we went off to the beach, but the weather today was crap. A little rainy. I still managed to get a few minutes swimming in and used my goggles to explore the sea-bed for a bit. Not a single creature did I see!
Tonight’s dinner was a Thai restaurant. I had a Squid Stir Fry and Bryan had Crispy Duck. Mine was lovely, although a little too spicy.. and Bryan inhaled his… so assume that he enjoyed it
Tonight we came back to the hotel and had a little drink out at the pool. We started a conversation up with a lovely Irish Lady and her friend. Really nice to speak to someone who doesn’t think you’re going to try and kill them.
That’s today in a nutshell. Was really relaxing and hopefully, tomorrow the sun will be out!
